It is a good idea to always record for at
least 10 seconds before starting to shoot your subject. By doing this you get past the
begining of the tape which may be dusty or wrinkled.
Shooting from different angles and
perspectives can make your video more intresting.
Your brain automatically leaves out certain
background noises that your microphone will be picking up. Take a minute to listen to your
surroundings before shooting and face the camcorder away from any of these unwanted
background sounds.
Watch out for Backlight which can detract
from the picture quality of your subject.
To conserve battery power so that your
battery will last longer until it's next charge, you should try not to zoom too often.
When you start filming find an appropriate zoom level and try to keep at that level
throughout filming.
Camcorders can be used outside of the U.S.
Batteries can also be charged outside the U.S. with the proper adapter to adjust for the
proper voltage. The problem is the you won't be able to playback your tapes in or through
a VCR or TV of another country (depending on the video standard used in that country). If
you want to purchase any video product, including a camcorder, you can click here to see a country
listing along with the video standard that country uses.
