The VL-WD450U, is a digital camcorder that features a 2.5" Color LCD View Screen, 26x optical zoom, 780x digital zoom, and an 8MB SmartMedia card. In addition, the VL-WD450U is equipped with Super Cat’s Eye 0 Lux Recording, which allows users to record in dark situations and outdoors at night, and a Zoom Microphone that automatically adjusts from wide to narrow with the zoom lens to capture audio at a distance.

Night Recording (Cat's Eye)
User can record in total darkness (useful for recording subjects at night).
Zoom Microphone
The zoom microphone will record audio at a distance as the lens zoom ratio increases.
Smart Media Card Slot
User can record still images to a Smart Media card for easy transfer to a PC for sharing via E-mail.
Gamma Brightness Compensation corrects for gradation in dark areas of image to make images clearer.
Playback Zoom allows the playback picture to be magnified up to ten times its original size.
External Source Recording: you can record video and audio from a external device for digital transfer/storage.
Audio Dubbing Feature
When recording in the 12 bit mode a second audio track can be recorded without affecting the original audio track.
