Radius MotoDV Specifications

Minimum System Requirements for MotoDV version 1.1.2

For Windows 95/98 systems

• A 200MHz Pentium-class computer with an avaiable PCI slot, 64MB of RAM, and 16-bit graphics  capability
• A graphics card/subsystem with a DirectX/DirectDraw compatible driver
• A CD-ROM or DVD-drive
• Microsoft Windows 95 or 98
• Microsoft DirectX 5.0 or later (included with MotoDV)
• QuickTime 3.0 for Windows or later (included with MotoDV)
• A fast internal UltraDMA hard disk (e.g. 5400 rpm) connected to an UltraDMA EIDE port or a fast external SCSI hard disk (e.g. 7200 rpm) connected to a fast SCSI controller card (e.g. Adaptec 2940UW).
• A Radius 1394 FireWire host adapter card and cable
• An NTSC or PAL format DV camcorder or tape deck with a digital 1394 FireWire port. (Note: Some DV camcorder models only support DV output to the computer. Check with the manufacturer for more information.)

For Mac OS systems

• A Power Macintosh or Mac OS compatible computer with a G3 or 604 processor, an available PCI slot, 64MB of RAM, and 16-bit graphics capability
• A CD-ROM or DVD drive
• Mac OS version 8.0 or later
• QuickTime 2.5 or later
• Internal disk requirements: An Apple ATA hard disk connected to the internal EIDE port (G3 systems) or a fast (e.g. 7200 rpm) SCSI hard disk connected to the fast motherboard SCSI port (604-based systems).
• External disk requirements: A fast (e.g. 7200 rpm) SCSI hard disk connected to a SCSI controller card (e.g. the Adaptec 2940UW or ATTO ExpressPro PCI).
• A Radius 1394 FireWire host adapter card and cable
• An NTSC or PAL format DV camcorder or tape deck with a digital 1394 FireWire port. (Note: Some DV camcorder models only support DV output to the computer. Check with the manufacturer for more information.)

• 128MB of RAM
• Video monitor connected to your DV device
• Speakers
• QuickTime-based editing or compositing software
  • For Windows - Adobe Premiere 5
  • For Mac OS - Radius EditDV, Adobe Premiere 4.2 or later, Adobe After Effects
• Additional hard disk storage (DV footage consumes hard disk space at the rate of 3.6MB per second or 216MB per minute)
