Fast DV Master pro

Fast DVMaster Pro
$2500

Success means attaining goals. And you want to be ahead of the rest by maximising your creative potential. When considering which editing system will give you the performance you need, digital quality and compatibility with most video standards from start to finish should be taken as read.

Native Digital: keep your original quality.

Video in DV format means high-quality production values at an affordable cost. To guarantee the high standards you need, DV Master Pro maintains the quality throughout. Your video is processed in its original DV format and with the original DV hardware. Video is simply transferred from one media to another. Digitally, without any generation loss. FAST has called this technology Native Digital - video in its purest form - only from FAST.

I/O Box: analogue or digital?

The I/O Box gives you backward compatibility with analogue video and audio formats. You can record from S-VHS or Hi-8 footage and produce a DV - or even component - final product. DV Master Pro is a quantum leap in video editing: freedom of choice in the analogue and digital domains.
The second performance asset that comes with the hardware CoDec is live video display during "capture," as well as at any time during the editing process. Get creative, scrub in the timeline, trim and preview full-screen, full-motion on video and computer monitors.* Know what your video will look like, real-time, full screen.

Windows NT: the most stable platform of choice.

MS Windows NT 4.0 is a robust operating system, designed specifically for professional applications. Stable and reliable, fast and upgradable, Windows NT lets you use the full range of options available in this high-quality hardware. Multiprocessor capability and additional memory of over 64MB mean fast and reliable video editing with DV Master Pro.

Together with the video, you need great audio in CD quality: digital stereo audio according to DV specifications (four 32-kHz channels or two 48-kHz channels). Also available is analog audio processing in WAV format with 16-bit stereo, also in CD quality (up to 44.1 kHz). Thanks to hardware AV locking, the audio is always lip-synced with the video for perfect videotape dubbing.

Speed Razor DV: video editing without limits.

Together with FAST, the developers of in:sync have re-engineered their acclaimed editing software, Speed Razor DV, specifically for the DV Master hardware. For the first time ever, all major PC standards have been combined for professional video editing: DV for digital video, Windows NT as the operating system, and Speed Razor DV as the professional video editing front-end. Speed Razor DV is based on a special file system to overcome many of the usual limitations of Video for Windows systems. This means video projects of any length and duration. You can perform all of the processes required for your video editing project using a single interface.

Your footage: perfect from camera to tape.

The basis of a good film stands or falls on the selection of the right scenes from the available raw material. Speed Razor DV gives you precisely the tools you need. Preview your material and transfer it smoothly to hard disk. Speed Razor DV does the work for you, sorting it according to your criteria in the project library, creating files for video and audio. You enter the comments and produce your own summaries; a quick and efficient way to provide the basis for the most important element of any video project - your imagination.

Timeline Edit: logical and powerful.
This is the timeline you've been waiting for! The extremely logical layout of the tracks and the clearly structured control elements support your creative efforts without limiting your creative freedom. Fades and effects are easily placed into the Timeline. Hard cuts are played immediately and smoothly from the Timeline. Thanks to sub-pixel rendering, the quality of your original material is retained, even with complex effects,it's efficient too - Timeline Play means only effects requiring rendering prior to playback.

Speed Razor Sound: hear it live!
Sound is ultimately what makes a good video great. Sound is one of in:sync's top priorities. As you record, the volume display gives you superb control. During playback from the Timeline, you can adjust the volume on the audio tracks live. Your actions are recorded and displayed on the audio track. This lets your ears "see" the video. Whether you edit your video to fit the music or arrange the sound to go with your scenes, every cut is absolutely perfect.
