Video and Audio Capture:
The miroVIDEO DV300 is a PCI bus mastering adapter adding high speed, IEEE 1394 connection between your digital video camera and your computer. miroVIDEO DVTools automatically scans the DV tape and finds scene in and out points. The Camera Controller allows for previewing before downloading any data. Scene locations with timecodes are organized in the drag-and-drop Capture Gallery. Scenes can be trimmed so only the video you want is captured, saving you valuable hard drive space.

One Pass DV Output--
Lossless DV Capture:
Once you have arranged the scenes to edit in the Capture Gallery, miroVIDEO DVTools will automatically cue the camera and frame accurately capture them. All frames are captured regardless of host performance issues. DVTools uses a unique multipass function to accomplish lossless capture. The DV300 automatically re-cues the DV tape to retrieve any missing frames.

Edit
Professional Editing with miroVIDEO DVTools:
Captured video segments can be arranged with DVTools to produce a cuts only production, or loaded into the bundled Adobe Premiere LE for special effects and transitions. The unique miroINSTANT DV* plug-in for Premiere allows you to render only effects and transitions, saving up to 50% of your hard drive space by not re-rendering the video clips. The video segments and the effect segments are then stored as individual video files.

Print to tape
Output Video Data Back to DV Devices:
When a production is finished you can output the video data back to the camera through the 1394 link. Print to Tape can be done from Adobe Premiere LE for multiple video files. From Premiere LE, miroINSTANT DV automatically prints files back to tape in one pass, overcoming the 2 GB movie size limitation. For single DV video files, the DVTools Print to Tape function can be used.
