V-Guide Parental Control...A function of the V-Chip and part of Extended Data Service technology, this special feature blocks both movies and TV programs based on a show’s rating information (MPAA for movies, and age rating and/or program content for television) as it’s received and decoded by the set.
Closed Caption with QuikCap...Not only does this particular model have closed captioning capability, but it also includes a special QuikCap function that quickly switches on the captions (if available) whenever the mute key is pressed, assuring the viewer never miss-es any action.
Auto Channel Programming with Nonvolatile Channel Memory...The first time the set is activated, it automatically scans each chan-nel to determine if a signal is being received. This creates a permanent channel scan list of all active channels that the viewer can easily access through the channel up/down keys. The Nonvolatile Channel Memory assures that the list is not affected by a power loss.
